Rather than backdate some posts (I'm too lazy to check the calendar) , here's an update...
July 20: Decided I really needed to produce something spinny for Tour de Fleece. I carted my Joy and some Tidal Wave over to Jill's to start on this

July 21: Responded to a plea from Andrea to go look at a wheel she was thinking of buying...because she'd never spun on a wheel and knew absolutely nothing about them. She bought the wheel, I got her started on it so she could play a little. She jumped in with both feet and made yarn! Which she plied the next night at the...
July 22: Zombie Prom Date Knitters all night take over of KnitWithSnot's (See, I don't need to blog this stuff...just go see if I'm in her pics. Though I generally try to hide from her evil camera. Why? Holly doesn't care about whether people look their best or even semi- attractive in her pics. She's real, they're real. She posts. The rest of us cringe. It's really okay though. She's so prolific with the blog, that crap picture will roll off into the archives in a day or two.) We might need to amend our name to include spinners because there was a whole lotta spinning going on. And drinking. Drunken spinning is good. OK, I was mostly drinking Dt Pepsi and half our spinners are underage but the drunken spinners are fun to be around (even when they're not drinking, actually).
July 23: Happy 16th birthday, Graham! There'd be a pic here but I mostly have ones that embarrass him and that wouldn't be so nice in a happy birthday post.
July 24: Um, I got nothing. It was Friday. I don't know what I was doing.
July 25: Oh, crap. I realized the Tour de Fleece was ending and I had nothing but the yarn for my Hope Lodge blanket square finished. Crank it up, Spinny! I finished the first bobbin at about 11:30 PM. And started the second around midnight, spinning like a fiend until 4AM.
July 26: Happy (how freakin' old are you now--20? because I have so many kids it's really hard to keep track) Birthday, Alex! We miss you. Don't just talk about it, get in that (new to you) car and drive your butt up here from Cleveland. update (9PM today) Whoa...he just showed up. Magic!
I got up and went back to cranking away at bobbin #2. Because, in my world (which is in no way related to any sort of reality), I could finish the rest of this,

ply it (on the Scholar, which isn't meant for laceweight but has really freaking huge bobbins),

wash it, whack it, dry it and get an artful pic to post on the Ravelry Tour de Fleece final day thread before it closed to posts. Oh, and antique oil finish a coupla spindles, warp an itty bitty loom (that I glued together earlier in the day because it was coming apart and driving me nuts) and teach Kai to weave a bookmark on it (to show at the county fair...yes, we entered a weaving project he hasn't yet made and doesn't yet know how to weave...whatever).
I did, in fact, finish bobbin #2, get a pic, and make a quick collage of what little spinning I'd done...

I even managed to get to the final day thread (at 3:30 AM) before it closed. I pasted the pic, wrote something I can't remember (drunken spinning and highway trash were mentioned), and hit "reply." The post vanished. The thread was closed. ~sob~
July 27: As punishment, I spent most of the day chained to the Scholar...plying a billion miles of laceweight. And then I took only spindles over to Jill's, since I could no longer move my legs.
Today? I wound all that laceweight off the bobbin. Specs and a finished pic should be here but I'm too tired of looking at it to give you WPI, etc.
edit to add quick pic on my desk

Tomorrow? I'm taking the spindles for Sock Summit up to Rita because I never found the right size box to mail them. I'd post a pic but I wrapped them up all cozy in tissue before I realized I hadn't gotten a pic. Wugh.
Oh, and my cell phone actually recovered from its trip through the laundry!

Oh Spinny! I think you are WonderWoman!!!
I try not to take photos of you because you bitch so much about the evil camera. But I think you just requested many, many photos...
Was the Tour de Fleece shorter this year? Cuz It was over before I started.
Hey, I wondered where you were at. I forgot you had miles of plying to do. Yikes! If you still need a co-pilot for the trip to GR, call me!...or did I scare you off. I might be more evil than the camera.
I think I'm tired after just reading that post...LOL
