The owners are somehow related (or almost related) to Holly (most folks around here are, the girl's got contacts!). We had such a wonderful time following the alpacas around, feeding them, petting them, fondling and choosing bags of their fleece...
I wish I could show you awesome pics of the kids getting cuddly with the alpacas, but I can't. Peter was official photographer for this trip and this is what we have...

That's it. What the hell? His camnesia is even worse than mine. I would have at least gotten shots of the kids. He doesn't get to take charge of the camera on any more field trips.
Fortunately, The Snotty One (I swear she was a freakin Boy Scout in a former life, she even shared her hand sanitizer.), got it all on record.

We came home with eight and a half pounds of alpaca fleece. Four gorgeous blankets. I want more.
