Wow, I've really been slacking in the update department. There HAS been knitting going on...
I finally got around to finishing the collar on my (Winter '06) Olympic Knitting Cinxia
(no modeled pic since I'm recovering from a killer flu and look like death)
Before that, I made a wee little sweater and teeny socks
to go along with the garterlac blanket I worked too damn hard on
to gift to anyone but the most special of little boys--
our new (first!) grandson Harris
and a birthday gift to go along in the baby gift package
Patton's SWS, in natural navy, size 8-9? needles--
recognize the pattern?
and we thought I was over the garterlac obsession
To answer Dave's question in the comments...
SWS is VERY soft
but I don't know that I would use it again
I used most of 3 skeins and part of another
there were quite a few knots in the yarn,
all of the joins were made to the wrong colors
and I had to try to match them up
GRRRR, I HATE THAT!
You can see one section I matched up wrong--
just left of center
there should be a dark/black between the blues
I hope she doesn't notice
(this centered text looks poetic
but I don't feel like changing it left)
I just this morning finished closing the toes on these--
basic 7x1 ribbed, KnitPicks sock memories in s'mores on 2.5 mm circs--
which I finally settled on a cast on (64 stitches) Friday morning
(Peter followed me into the bedroom when I went in to take pics,
he caught me with my feet up on the headboard
trying to use the wall behind the bed as a backdrop...
what the heck, it was better than the fugly ceiling light fixture)
and, just because they like seeing themselves here...
my youngest kidlets participated in their school science fair
their joint project was on different kinds of twinning
they each received a participation ribbon and compliments from their teachers
(I just noticed their project board is almost the same color as the "accent wall" in my bedroom)
Off to cast on Eunny Jang's Entrelac Socks from the Spring 2007 Interweave Knits issue!

Wow! That's a lot of finished objects for one gal. Way to go.
Super-duper to the kids for a great Science Fair! Adorable picture.
I love all your FOs! Cinxia looks great, I'm sure you'll enjoy wearing it :)
I love the scarf! And SWS -- I bet it feels wonderful!! How many skeins did you use? (Not that I'm planning to make one or anything, but, you know, just in case.) :-)
