SWS

Everyone's talking about Patons new wool/soy blend yarn, SWS. I had to get my hands on some so I went to Michaels last week. I picked up a--just one--ball of Plum and it's been sitting here on my desk. I like stroking it (it's sooo soft) but what do I make with just one ball?

I started messing with it earlier and as soon as I felt it on the needles, I clicked into our Sybermom's crafter forum to read what my friends said about it again. Then I saw Rachel's Sophie bag .

Kait's best friend's birthday is tomorrow. Kait is a little sad she isn't able to get her a nice gift. I'll bet she'd really like a felted bag. A Sophie. In Natural Plum. Right? Gosh, I'll need another ball. Good thing it's on sale.

Em and I snuck off to Michaels (shhh, don't tell Peter...he thinks there were really long lines at the grocery store). We came back with 2 more balls of plum, so I can make the Sophie straps a little longer. And 3 balls of geranium so Em can make something. And 4 balls of navy for...uh...something (a Sophie?) for me.

I love SWS! I'm knitting my future mother-in-law a Lady Eleanor Stole out of the same pinkish color you've got there on the right. I'm glad to hear that it felts, because that's what I was planning to try with any leftover yarn.
