2.5 feet, 7.4 ozs

Last night, Kait informed me she was going to bed "early" (midnight, rather than her usual 3-4AM) instead of hanging out with James (her boyfriend) after work. James had to get up at 4:30 AM to go to the hospital because his sister was scheduled for a c-section early this morning.

Before she left for school, I managed to catch her to ask about the baby.

Oh yeah, it's a boy. Hang on, he sent me a text.

She pulls out her phone and messes with it.

Two and a half feet. Seven point four ounces.

HUH??

Kait, are you sure that's right?

Yeah. See?

She turns her phone toward me. On the screen is "boy, 2.5', 7.4 ozs"

If James' text, or Kait's interpretation of it, was actually correct, his nephew would almost be a human yard stick (instead of a perfectly normal, average 20.5", 7 lb, 4 oz baby boy).

And I would have to rethink the 30" x 30" blanket I'm working on.

I'm telling you, it's not just for dishcloths!)

Wowzer, that's one big hunk of garterlac!! I love it. Sounds like you'll have to add on a border of some sorts, eh. :-)
