*sniffle, wheeze, shiver*
Before I took to bed with my Nyquil (liqui-gels are the bestest thing ever) and tissues, I was working on this for Kai...
The hood, hanging behind, is still on the needles. I need a few uncongested brain cells to decide on some how-not-to-make-his-head-look-oddly-pointy shaping. I started the hood before the sleeves because I'm going to knit his name (though he suggested he would really like the dogs' names, one on each) down one sleeve in navy (no, it's not a Halloween sweater, that stripe only looks black). I have to find some lettering I like and graph it out. Again, more brain cells than are functioning at the moment.
Plus, while this was sitting on the end table in the livingroom and I was in bed on another floor, the dogs did this to my yarn...
Remember when I had so much fun with Lady Eleanor, I had visions of my entire house in entrelac?Garterlac--it's not just for dishcloths (or bibs)!
Somewhere in between sneezing and wheezing, I made some yarn. My very first 2-ply yarn. OK, I didn't say it was good yarn. But I'm learning. And I've started to spin my big, beautiful balls. I'll have a pic of that soon.
the itty bitty hank--40% white icelandic, 40% white mohair, 20% black alpaca
on the spindle--alpaca
on the spindle--alpaca
both from Orchard Hill Fleece Farm
Oh, and I've almost finished my scarf for the International Scarf Exchange, which I posted about here. It just needs fringe and a washing. I've been too sick to go out looking for wool wash but hopefull will get to it later this week.
I almost forgot--I never even got called for an interview at Hobby Lobby. And I was too sick to go if I had. :(
