These are the current pair I'm working on. Aren't they delicious? I swear I'm an ADD knitter. I was in the midst of finishing up the knitting on my cabled sweater when I saw Pierced post about some leopard sock yarn. So I searched for a pic of something knitted from said sock yarn. And came across other stuff. Such as the pattern for these socks. Nearly finished sweater (having to actually put it together kind of scares me) set aside, I dug through my stash to choose colors and cast on.
Now Abi wants a pair, only with purple as the solid color. OK, but it's an adult pattern and I need to sit down and figure out a children's version. I ordered some size 0 dpns so may just try those (instead of 1's), work the cuff and then do a bit of decreasing on the inner cuff/ribbing to make a smaller foot. Or I may take out 4 stitches from each 16 stitch grouping. I dunno.
I may actually end up starting something else altogether. I have to wait for my latest yarn orders--with, oh, maybe 20 or so balls of sock yarn, some more sweater yarn and cashmere for Peter's Christmas scarf *drool*--to show up for the smaller needles anyway.
