To the left of my chair:
- bag from LYS with two balls of Regia sock yarn for Kai's Christmas socks
- 'nother bag from LYS with 6 balls of Cervinia Tajmahal (merino/silk/cashmere, a steal at $5 each) in red, soft gray and dark green--the red destined to become Furry Fancy Fingerless (on the right, scroll down) and a scarf for Kristen (apparently she remains in the family, at least for the time being)
- another bag with a ball of red and green of the above along with some feathered fun fur type yarn coordinating with each because I couldn't decide which color I wanted to use
- another bag with Abi's neck down raglan cardi in TLC Cotton Plus, Princess (too much yellow in the yarn and really a terrible substitute for LionBrand Cotton-ease)
On top of a small tote thing that's on top of my CPU:
- two skeins of LionBrand Cotton-ease in Orangeade, part of the yarn for Kai's second raglan sweater
- about 4" of a neck down raglan cardi I started for Abi in TLC Wiggles, Grape--on a cable with buttons on the ends (still trying to decide if I'm going to finish it or frog it and use the yarn for some boot socks for her)
- Fiber Trends felted clog pattern, waiting for me to finish mine and/or start Graham's and others
- the back of my Kepler sweater which just needs a few more inches before the neck shaping so I can finish the sweater (I'm seriously thinking about giving this sweater to Em for Christmas, though I may make her this)
To the right:
- my purple plastic tote from B&N with--the first beginnings of the Very Tall Socks for Kait (#2's weren't getting the correct gauge so I've started over with #3's), the first of socks for Graham in KnitPicks Parade, Checkers which I frogged last night and restarted on #4's rather than the 5's I started on (and am a little miffed that the yarn is now $1 cheaper than it was when I bought it a couple weeks ago), and the second of my Old Shale Two Yarn Socks, still unfinished
- two smallish boxes with the rest of my KnitPicks sock yarn and a bunch more of the TLC Cotton Plus (that I don't especially like but hadn't seen or felt before the order arrived from JoAnns) for the stripes in Kai's orange sweater and a lavender w/fair isle pattern sweater for Abi, with Al's finished socks (the original 12" circ MAN socks) on top
Under my desk, on top of my stash-I-want-to-keep-close storage container:
- bag with Peter's scarf and the last skein of the cashmere that needs to be wound
- a black and a white skein of Wool-Ease for Kait's Tall Socks
On my desk:
- part of a KnitPicks Simple Stripes sock in crayon that I meant for Kai but plan to frog and save the yarn for me because, while it's not the turquoise and fushia it looks like on the site--the blue is actually blue--the "red" still leans toward a dark fushia/cranberry shade and isn't really "boyish"
- a partial ball of the remaining KnitPicks Simple Stripes in Sweet Tarts that I used to make Abi some socks (I don't really care for the Simple Stripes yarn, it's thinner and not as soft as Parade and the Sweet Tarts color was broken and knotted to a wrong color in the sequence and then went to big gaps of white that weren't supposed to be there so I ended up having to use part of a second skein instead--annoying as hell)
I NEEEED to get some of these things finished up and put away somewhere I will remember where I put them when it comes time to start wrapping gifts.
