Pink Ribbon Socks

I'm working on these Pink Ribbon Socks now. My hope is to offer them to those who donate an obscene amount of money (fitty bucks?) to my 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk. I have enough yarn to make four more pairs. I hope I have enough patience. Working the twenty row ribbon chart on needles 2 and 4 while working a four row lacy pattern on needles 1 and 3 is a helluva PITA. Definitely not mindless TV knitting.

I'm thinking I want to try doing the body in white with just the ribbons in cotton candy pink. Yeah, that's nuts. I'll start a swatch sock to see how it works before I drive 60 miles to the not-so-LYS where I found the shade of pink I want. And that yarn is Cascade Fixation (this is Elann's Sock-It-To-Me) so if it works, I'll have to figure out a possible gauge difference. *sigh*

Updates:
The laptop bag finally made it to it's recipient in Japan (I think?). Unfortunately, the zipper made the opening too short for her laptop to fit in easily. I was afraid of that. :-( She still loves her "fuzzy purse" though. I'm going to have to search out different zipper lengths online if I ever make another bag to fit something specific.

The cabled throw and ponchos finally (a month after completion, the throw several years after promised) went out in the mail on the 19th. Along with two boxes of books and some book thongs for Harlot. Better late than never? Ugh. I really need to work on my non-existant organizational skills.
