I made this little i-corded bag so I don't have to keep fishing for my phone in the bottom of my purse...
Sure, it's knit from spindle spun mohair locks. But still, for a 30 plus years of knitting knitter, it's kind of lame.
And this...a sock for my son's external hard drive (part of his graduation gift laptop package--damn, I want a gift like that!)
Also knit from spindle spun yarn. And sure to be greatly appreciated by Alex, who requested it and chose the yarn. But still, pretty lame.
I've started a Clapotis (which I swore I'd never knit because I really don't get the whole idea of knitting all those stitches just to--!GASP!--drop them)...twice. I kept kfb in places where I was meant to ktbl. I dropped down and fixed a few of them, got hung up on the irony of dropping down to fix stitches I was just going to drop--all the way--down later, frogged, and started again. Not far enough started to even merit a pic.
Remember these Monkey socks? (huh, check the title of that post--the lameness has been going on even longer than I thought) I'm at the toe decreases. I've been at the toe decreases for weeks. I've knit a whole lot of things in between starting these socks and getting to the toes. I think? OMG, have I knit anything other than a phone bag and hard drive sock since I started the Monkies???

Dear Lame Knitter,
I have been knitting wash cloths. The thing I swore I would never, ever knit because they are so boring, and utilitarian.
I learned to knit to free the world from boredom! Also to unite the world in the fight against zombies, and ruin the z on my keyboard in typing about it so much about it.
So Lame Knitter, I raise my pointed sticks and shout Huzzah! to the Summer of Lame Knitting!
Sincerely,
Lame Dish Washer
No one wants to knit big in the summer, it's just too hot! Your knitting is not lame, just small! :)
