Seeing red

Finally. I finished the reknitting of Al's sweater body--all the way to the red stripe--last night. It only took me a full week to knit and then REknit.

And then I cast on for a sleeve on DPNs. After working 2 inches in 1x1 rib, I remember I never intended to rib the cuffs. I planned to use the sleeves from Jesse's Flames with the stitch count from the Wallaby. OK, I cast on again and worked 3 rows garter stitch. And then I got hung up on the "increase 10 stitches evenly around" direction in the Wallaby pattern. If I'm not ribbing, do I really want to inc. 10 stitches all in the same row? **scratches head

Oh, but wait! Before I can deal with the increase question, I realize I don't want to work the intarsia flames in the round. Oops. If I'm not working on DPNs (that I just bought, specifically for this project), I really would like my Addis. But I only have one #8 circ and the sweater body is on it. So I move the sweater body to a Boye cable with buttons. There. I have my Addis and settled on garter stitch rather than ribs. Now, about those increases...
