(Of course, this is the same thought I had when Abi desperately wanted those ponchos in the store last Fall. She still desperately wants them. I'll get around to making her one. Stop looking at me with those sad, wanting eyes. I WILL.)
I found some bright cotton I'd bought to make Abi hair scrunchies (yes, I DID make some hair scrunchies...just not in every color I bought). Made the yellow/green/white one in moss stitch. That was boring. Did the multi-colored one diagonally. That was a little more fun. Then I did the green-edged tweed. And then the white-edged tweed. I think I'll send that set to my mom. I like the bright colors better. Plus, I can just see her face when she opens them. "Huh, what? Dishcloths? Why would she knit me dishcloths? She must know I haven't washed a dish by hand since 1977!"
The white one is a YO cable pattern. I accidently slipped an edge stitch and it seriously annoyed me. Eh. It's a dishcloth. It'll be wadded up and stinky under the pile of dishes in the sink in no time.
