How come no one ever told me how much fun knitting sock is? I've never liked working with itty bitty needles because it takes so farking long to actually see any progress. But sock is different than the teeny little tank top I tried to knit at age 15. Sock knitting goes fast.
I don't think I will ever buy cool socks again. I will just knit sock forever. Note the singular. I do have two socks going. Only, they are different yarns, different colors. I may never actually get an entire PAIR of socks done. I hate the first sock I started, the Magic Stripes yarn and the Jelly Bean colors (fushia/lime/orangey red/blue/white) are icky. Plus, the top is really loose.
I bought new yarn (Regia 5458 muted blue/purple/gray--it's gorgeous!) and switched to smaller needles (size 2). I am seriously loving this sock. In fact, I just ordered three more skeins of Regia in glorious colors . If they get here before I start on purty blue/purple/grey sock #2, or start and finish my auction doggie sweaters, I will probably start on a sock of another color. Just to see how the yarn knits up.
I need to find a children's (say a 6 yo) sock pattern using fingering weight yarn and size 3 (so I can do it with 2's) needles. My Abi likes the yucky fushia/lime/red/orange/blue/white yarn. I think she needs a sock.
